SociometryPro is software for conducting and processing sociometric research based on J. L. Moreno’s method. It helps specialists understand the structure of relationships within a group, assess cohesion, identify mutual and one-sided choices, informal connections, possible areas of tension, and changes that occur over time.

The program can be used by psychologists, sociologists, HR professionals, teachers, training managers, and anyone who needs to understand not only the formal structure of a group but also the real relationships between its members.

Working with SociometryPro follows the familiar logic of a sociometric study. A specialist defines a criterion — for example, who the participants would prefer to work with on a joint project — conducts a survey and enters the resulting choices into the program. SociometryPro then performs the calculations automatically and presents the results in several forms suitable for further analysis.

The program allows you to:

• manage participant groups, criteria, and individual studies;
• record positive and negative sociometric choices;
• calculate individual indicators, including status, emotional expansiveness, and satisfaction;
• calculate group indicators, including relationship density, cohesion, stability, and tension;
• present the structure of relationships as graphs and a sociometric target diagram;
• analyze results using charts of individual and group indices;
• compare the results of different studies and track changes within a group;
• generate reports and use the resulting materials in further professional work.

SociometryPro is especially useful for repeated studies. If sociometry is conducted before and after changes in a group — for example, reorganization, training, the arrival of new members, or changes in working conditions — the results can be compared to see how internal relationships, cohesion, and tension evolve. This helps assess the dynamics of relationships and understand how effective the measures taken have been.

At the same time, SociometryPro is not intended to replace the specialist. It takes over the most labor-intensive part of the work: storing data, performing calculations, processing results, and presenting them visually. Interpreting the overall picture, understanding the reasons behind what is happening, and choosing the next steps remain the responsibility of the psychologist, sociologist, or other professional. This is where the program is most useful — as a tool that frees specialists from routine calculations and allows them to focus on professional analysis.
